Seishi Ozaku Gallery of the Reader Collection of Japanese Flower-and-Bird Art

Seishi is both a painter and printmaker. He included birds in more than ten of his prints and eleven examples are shown here. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Seishi typically distorts the shapes of objects that he includes in his pictures and colors them only in shades of gray. These grotesque scenes may not appeal to all viewers.
